DVD DUPLICATORS
Bill Myers explains that . . .
If you use Kunaki for duplication, you never have to send them your DVD master.

You can upload the DVD from your desktop, using the free tools Kunaki provides.

You will need a relatively fast internet connection, or the upload could take several hours.

I've created a video showing the process. You can view it at http://www.bmyers.com/members/Screencast_Using_Kunaki_as_your_DVD_CD_duplicator.cfm

Most computers that ship with DVD drives do not include the software needed to play a DVD on that drive. In order to play a DVD, you must first install the right DVD decoder software.

Microsoft says, "To play DVDs using the Player, you must have a DVD drive and a software or hardware DVD decoder installed on your computer. By default, Windows does not include a DVD decoder."

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-xp/help/windows-media-player/11/play-cd-dvd

For Windows, a good choice for a DVD decoder is the free VLC media player which can be found at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

After you install that software on your computer, you should be able to play DVDs on your computer's DVD drive.

FYI: Roxio will duplicate DVD disks whether the DVD player software has been installed on your computer or not.  Here is what Roxio is about.

With Roxio, you can make copies from your master. Once you make the first copy, the program can make additional copies without having to reread the DVD (within the same session).

On a DVD-R 12x burner, it can copy a DVD in about 8 minutes.

If you need to burn faster, you can can a standalone 1 to 3 DVD burner, which can make 3 DVDs every five minutes.

I've been using Roxio Creator 2011 to make copies of my DVDs and CDs when I need them.

I just checked Amazon and they have Roxio Creator 2011 for $13.95 and Roxio Creator 2012 for $24.95.

Either one would be all you need.
