From this page, I found this:
It is possible to create your own Recovery Media on most computers. Instructions can be found in your product manual. Sony Electronics is no longer permitted to sell system recovery media for VAIO PCs that shipped with operating systems released prior to Windows 7.
If your computer shipped with the Windows 7 operating system (or later), a Recovery Media Kit can be purchased through Encompass Supply Chain Solutions at https://sony.encompass.com or 1-866-779-5153.
If your computer shipped with any operating system released prior to the Windows 7 operating system, please contact Best Buy for VAIO PC repair and recovery options at 1-800-433-5778.
First, the model number of my SONY is VPCEB42FX. It can be found at the bottom right of the screen's frame. Got a message from SONY's site. It reads, "Unfortunately, there currently are no downloads for this product."
I am trying to get updated downloads to two internet drivers: 1) Intel Wifi Link 1000BGN, and 2) MARVELL YUKON 88E8059 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller.
Hawaii Five-O
Hawaiian Eye
Baywatch
Charlie’s Angels
Jake and the Fatman
The MacKenzies of Paradise Cove.
Magnum PI
I would have thought that Fantasy Island was filmed in Hawaii, but no, that was filmed at the Arboretum in Arcadia and not in Hawaii or any other seaside resort.
Here is the general page for SONY downloads. And for Windows 7 SONY VAIO.
I went to the Contact page and clicekd on computers and got
this message:

Intel ® Driver Update Utility 2.6 and that Setup & MS Security Essentials Updates NOT WORKING
1. When I try to run an Update on my MS Security Essentials, I get a message that reads “Virus and spyware definitions couldn’t be updated.” Beneath that heading, it reads “This app couldn’t check for virus and spyware definition updates. Check your Internet or network connection and try again. Click Help for more information about this problem.
2. I went to run an Intel ® Driver Update Utility 2.6 and that
Setup, too, Failed. The error message I got on that was “One or more issues
caused the setup to fail. Please fix the issues and then retry the setup. For
more information see the log file. 0x80070642 User canceled the installation.”

The MS Word version on my Sony VAIO, Windows 7 is Word Starter 2010.
From SONY and Microsoft, I copy the 2 devices onto a flash drive. When I go to upload them onto my Sony VAIO I am able to run then download them onto Vaio Windows 7. But when I go to run them or open them, I get a message that
Network Adapters are:
Intel ® WiFi Link 1000 BGN
Marvell Yukon 88E8059 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller
This is the SONY network device shows up in my thumb drive as MRDETH-00225727-0042, while the Intel ® WiFi Link shows up as PSMT64 Intel R WiFi Link, a name which I gave to it.

Was told that the Marvel driver
"won't do anything because it's related to the ethernet port [and] not the
Wi-Fi module."

When working with How-to-Geek and you want to upload anything, you must use the following formats: jpg, jpeg, png, gif. It does not accept odt. Bill Myers, on June 10, 2016, was extremely helpful. He explained that in Libre Office that with the desired document opened already I need to choose FILE, then EXPORT, and make sure that the .jpg file type is selected. Since .jpg was not an option and .jpeg was, I chose .jpeg, which seemed to work. Another member suggested using this site, Cool Utilities.

This is driving me crazy.
I found Hardware Ids in the Details tab after right clicking on
the Marvell Yukon 88E8059 device. An acronym popped up, PCI. It
means Peripheral Component Interconnect.
It's short for Peripheral Component Interconnect, a local bus standard developed by Intel Corporation. Most modern PCs include a PCI bus in addition to a more general ISA expansion bus. PCI is also used on some versions of the Macintosh computer.
All of this is a bit much for the reward. ISA stands for
Industry Standard Architecture (ISA) is a retronym term for the 16-bit internal bus of IBM PC/AT and similar computers based on the Intel 80286 and its immediate successors during the 1980s.
So there's that.
The drivers on my Sony VAIO are:
1) PCI/VEN_11AB&DEV_4381&SUBSYS_9071104D&REV_11
2) PCI/VEN_11AB&DEV_4381&SUBSYS_9071104D
3) PCI/VEN_11AB&DEV_4381&CC_020000
4) PCI/VEN_11AB&DEV_4381&CC_0200

I hate SONY support. Their website is atrocious! But I need them as at least one source.
SONY PHONE
1-888-476-6972.
239-768-7671.
HOURS
Mon-Fri: 8-Midnight
Sat & Sun: 9-8pm.
TWO PROBLEMS TODAY
1. Intel(R) My WiFi Technology Adapter not found.
2. Wireless Switch OFF. Please locate the wireless
switch on your notebook and turn the switch "ON" to continue.
The site says go to VAIO. Then their site says go to the esupport at SONY. I swear these idiots make
things up as they go.
Driver #1 at SONY's esupport. Intel WiFi Link
1000 BGN Wireless Network Adapter driver.
